Aaron Judge is back from the IL and he has made a big splash. Judge agreed to a bumper deal with the Yankees after his free agency in 2022. While he was already one of the most recognized faces around town, the deal really launched his celebrity. And in a move that is aimed to propel the star’s brand even higher, he seems to have come to a new sponsorship deal that will do just that.

Judge in Pinstripes is an image that any major league baseball fan will pick out of a thousand others. The 2022 AL Home Run king has all things going for him, a big market franchise, a fantastic hitting record, and now a new sponsorship deal. However, Judge is still chasing that pennant. And the fans missed no opportunity to troll Judge for his championship record.

Aaron Judge Announces New Sponsorship Deal…In the Wong Way

The New York Yankees‘ star slugger recently announced his collaboration with the Jordan brand on Instagram. And while undoubtedly one of the more iconic athletes of the era, Judge remains without a pennant to show for his stellar ability. However, Judge’s announcement featured him with a ring. Just not one that marks a World Series win.

The star took to Instagram and Twitter to announce his new collaboration joining various stars from around the league with the Jordan brand. Joining an elite list of Yankees with iconic Yankees ‘Captain’ Derek Jeter, Judge is in good company. However, despite his supreme hitting capability, All-Rise still lags behind Jeter on one count. World Series Championships.

Judge recreated the iconic photo with NBA Legend Michael Jordan sporting all his championship rings as a part of the announcement. And while Jordan had 6 to show, Judge was left only sporting a Jordan brand ring with no championships to his name yet. Sure enough, the fans noticed.

Fans React to Judge’s Recreation Of The Iconic Photo

While there remain few detractors to acknowledge the ability of the Yankees slugger, the lack of postseason glory is troubling. In what was perhaps a slight miscalculation, Judge opened the door to a barrage of fans highlighting his lack of a championship.

And while the Jordan photo remains iconic, Judge’s pose was not appreciated.

On Instagram too the fans were unrelenting. One commented, “He better get used to just having that one jordan ring because that’s all his gonna get with the Yankees.

Another wrote, “No rings and will never get a ring.

Judge is still an active part of the roster for the Pinstripes. And as such, his championship record can change in the course of a single season. The fans, however, did not let go. Said one fan on Instagram, “Recreating the rings photo…. with no rings? That’s some WILD shit 🤷🏽‍♂️.”

Jordan and Jeter have a well documented brotherly relationship, but the NBA great clearly needs some time to warm up to the current Captain. While Judge is a modern baseball great, his championship record remains a mark on his resume. But at least when it comes to Judge’s ability to make a mark on the sport, the Jordan deal sees him take a significant step.
