The New York Yankees may not be the hottest team on the block, but their star player is certainly making it big. Aaron Judge has in many ways been the Yankees’ main man since he signed on with the franchise. With the slugger setting the AL alight with his power-hitting last year, winning the Home Run King Crown as a result, everyone knew that he had secured the bag. Few, however, would have estimated just how well he’d done it.

Judge signed a bumper $360 million dollar contract with the New York Yankees in 2022 and he has gone from strength to strength since. But if that pressure is handled like how Aaron Judge has, it can be a strength. With pressure comes the opportunity to boast a lucrative paycheck.

In 2023, Forbes‘ Justin Birnbaum estimated that Judge ($44.5 million total) was third in the list of highest-paid athletes combining both on and off-field engagements. And while Judge might move up a spot or two when the list is compiled for 2024 the Jordan brand will be a big part of it all.

Judge appears to be the bright spot in an underperforming team. But that seems to have done his stock no harm. Even though the Yankees are currently languishing in last place in the AL East, Judge remains their best performer. With 22 home runs this season, the slugger has been the lone bright spot.
