Coming off a terrific year, Ohtani has already sprung into action to make 2023 the best. Which would probably be his last year in the LA Angels franchise. And one of those ventures that Shohei invested in last year has investors who are prominent in the sports industry. They included legendary former tennis player Serena Williams, NBA star Stephen Curry, F1 star Lewis Hamilton, and a couple of others.

Since Japanese star Shohei Ohtani debuted in Major League Baseball in 2018, his hype has only increased. With every moment that passes, Ohtani has achieved a new milestone, and that was the case when Shotime finished second in the American League’s 2022 MVP award.
2022 was the same year when Ohtani came in the same category as the faces of the sports world. Last year, Shohei invested in TMRW Sports, a new technology and sports endeavor by golf legend Tiger Woods and professional golfer Rory McIlroy.

TMRW sports has a bunch of former and active players that represent a total of 13 sports. The venture is already set to launch its first project, a virtual pro golf tour scheduled for 2024.
What is Ohtani up to now?
After winning the World Baseball Classic for his home country, Japan, Shotime is looking forward to winning one World Series ring with his team, LA Angels. Although the Fall Classic might still be a few months away, Shohei has a lot to keep himself busy. Aside from fulfilling his ballpark duties, the athlete has multiple endorsement deals lined up. They would then make up this year’s earnings of Shohei to be somewhat around $65 million.
