And six years ago, Jeter and Jordan united for a common purpose at the Michigan University. And if going into detail, NFL legends Charles Woodson and LaMarr Woodley also joined them.

MLB icon Derek Jeter teamed up with the NBA legend Michael Jordan and NFL legends LaMarr Woodley and Charles Woodson for the opening game of the Michigan Wolverines in 2016.
Per ESPN, apart from all these legends appearing on the Wolverines’ sideline for their season opener, the Wolverines’ legendary coach Jim Harbaugh also stood at midfield before the game.

The occasion got even bigger when the Wolverines honored Jordan as the team’s honorary captain. Notably, Michigan was the first college team to wear uniforms with the Jordan Jumpman logo on them.
Although the Wolverines won their season opener against Hawaii by 63-03, Jeter, Jordan, LaMarr, and Woodson stole the show with their majestic appearance on the sideline.

It is no secret that Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan have been close friends for a while. At times, even Jeter has always mentioned his unique bond with the NBA legend. Notably, when the Yankees retired Jeter’s iconic jersey no. #2, Jordan congratulated him by writing a heartfelt note.
