Naturally, in an ideal scenario, one would expect Barry Bonds, Deion Sanders, and Ken Griffey Jr. to participate together in a home run derby since they are baseball legends. But back in 1992, the Foot Locker Slam Fest featured these three legends, along with various other NFL and track field superstars, who participated in a Slam Dunk Contest. And the three baseball stars were so good that even the NBA legend Michael Jordan would have clapped at them had he watched them play at the time.
During the annual All-Star weekend in the NBA, a highlight event is the NBA Slam Dunk contest, which showcases the most skilled and talented dunkers from the current season. This highly anticipated event is a celebration of the athleticism and artistry of these players as they execute impressive and spectacular dunks.

The Foot Locker Fest was held across the 1980s and 1990s for non-NBA players. There were usually 16 participants who took part in a Slam Dunk Fest, a make-believe version for non-ball players. The 1992 version headlined MLB stars like Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr., and Deion Sanders. Being legends in the ballpark, the three outfielders took the audience by surprise with their moves on the court.

However, none of these legends found a way to make it into the final round of the competition. The final round ultimately featured two track athletes, Mike Conley Sr. and Mike Powell. Conley finally won the challenge with his dunk from the free-throw line that left the crowd in awe.
Now, while Barry Bonds continues his Hall of Fame quest, the mere thought of watching MLB stars like Aaron Judge, Mookie Betts, Mike Trout, and Tatis Jr competing with each other in a challenge like this would be entertaining, to say the least.
