Despite the Lakers losing to the Thunders, LeBron James’ 38 points in the game carried him to a total of 38,390 regular season points. As a result, LeBron James overtook Lakers icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA’s highest all-time points scorer. With this massive feat, the GOAT debate resurfaced.

Ever since the four-time NBA Champion set the record for the most points scored by a player in NBA history, the NBA world has been buzzing. And much like the question of whether the chicken or the egg came first, the age-old debate of who the greatest of all time (GOAT) is between Michael Jordan and LeBron James has been reignited.

The debate, like any other sporting debate, promptly took a hostile turn. And ensuing the hostile turn, San Diego Padres Ace Ryan Weathers stepped in to offer his two cents on the issue.
