Aaron Judge is a champagne of baseball. The New York Yankees star slugger is having quite a season this year. Right from the start of the 2022 regular season, Judge has been the most consistent Yankees player.

Had it not been for Judge’s exceptional hitting and leadership in the ballparks, the Pinstripes might not be in the postseason this year. But here they are! After the Houston Astros, the New York Yankees became the third team to clinch their postseason berth in the American League.

Although clinching the postseason spot would be a big deal for any MLB franchise, but not for Aaron Judge. Yes! The Yankees slugger was behaving like it is not a big deal for him or the Yankees to qualify for the playoffs after a close win over their fierce rivals, Boston Red Sox. Notably, Judge has his eyes set on bigger things.

Aaron Judge channeled his inner mamba mentality after a victory in the Bronx

Aaron Judge has been nothing but exceptional for the New York Yankees. He has been a complete box office in the ballparks this season. And now, when the Yankees have officially qualified for the postseason, Judge channeled his inner mamba mentality.

During the post-game address, when the media congratulated him on heading to October, Judge said it’s not over. Not only Judge, but the entire Yankees squad have set their eyes on a bigger prize this year.

“I think you can ask anybody in this room. Job’s not finished,” Aaron Judge said.

Not many people might know this, but the late NBA icon Kobe Bryant also made a similar statement in the 2009 NBA Finals. Back in 2009, Kobe played for the Lakers. The Lakers were 2-0 up in the Finals against the Orlando Magic.

But still, Kobe was not happy as the Lakers were yet to clinch the title. When someone from the media asked Kobe if he is not glad after being 2-0 up in the finals, the NBA legend had the perfect reply.

“What is there to be happy about? Job’s not finished. Job is finished? I do not think so,” Kobe said.
