It’s not uncommon to see celebrities from one field supporting another every once in a while. It’s usually easy to find players from one sport on the court of another one. And the recent appearance of MLB star Mookie Betts at an NBA game only proves it right. The 30-year-old attended a game between the LA Lakers and Dallas Mavericks, supporting his favorite city.

Having played for the Dodgers and Red Sox, Betts has been one of the finest players in the MLB world over the last few years. But since Major League Baseball is going through its off-season, the Dodgers slugger extended his support to LeBron James and the Lakers.

Somehow his skills in baseball aren’t enough, because the outfielder is also an avid basketball player himself. However, it isn’t a simple hobby, he’s actually very talented. Last October, Betts was seen shooting hoops at the University of Memphis and fans were impressed.

Twitter users poked some good-natured fun at the Lakers and said they might actually need the MLB star’s talent right now.

From the looks of it, Betts could have chosen any sport and excelled at it. But fans are glad he stuck with baseball. After all, even his initials stand for MLB.
