As Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky wins the Time Magazine Person of the Year award, multiple questions about the authenticity of this result came to light. Amongst the various questions raised, ex-New York Mets World Champion Lenny Dykstra reached his Twitter handle and commented on the President being recognized with this award. He did not even hesitate to use a Brittney Griner reference to mock the publication.

Notably, Griner is returning to the US after President Biden announced a prisoner swap deal with Russia earlier today. She was sentenced to 9 years of prison after getting arrested on a charge of attempting to smuggle narcotics into Russia.
How did the Mets World Champion roast Brittney Griner?
Notably, Time magazine announced its person of the year, and it was Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky. Evidently, Lenny Dykstra, who made his MLB debut with the New York Mets in 1985, wasn’t happy about this selection.

And Dykstra reached his Twitter handle to express his discontent, along with a sarcastic comment towards the President and WNMBA star, Brittney Griner. He said, “Of course! Now on to Brittney Griner for Sportsperson of the Year.”
Dykstra’s MLB career lasted 11 years. During this time frame, the outfielder played for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. He retired in 1996 with three All-Star appearances, a World Series Championship, and a Silver Slugger Award from 1993.

Not only that, but the outfielder also bagged himself an enormous $360 million contract for nine years. Which stood as a $145 million increase from his potential contract in the 2022 offseason.
