The City of Angels saw a sweet idol-fan moment recently. With the Los Angeles Dodgers playing across town with the San Diego Padres, the city hosted a night of entertainment. In the latter leg of her incredibly popular Eras Tour, Taylor Swift came to Los Angeles. Not only that, but she reunited with a famous basketball family, earning praise from fans. In the meanwhile, the Dodgers claimed a 10-5 victory over their archrivals at Petco Park.
Much like the Yankees’ Anthony Rizzo claiming Swift’s influence over his lone good performance this season recently, the Dodgers seem to be taking inspiration from the singer too. If nothing else, they’re all self-proclaimed Swifties at the very least. But before that, Swift made a sweet gesture for Bianka, the daughter of Kobe Bryant.

The late LA Lakers star and Swift’s friendship goes way back. In 2015, Swift became the only artist to have sold out Staples Center 16 times in their career, a number that she shared with the Lakers’ championship wins. Bryant always spoke highly of the musician and the same went for Swift. In fact, the singer once gifted her famous Cardigan sweater to Natalia in 2020.
And recently, performing at SoFi Stadium, Swift surprised Bryant’s second oldest daughter, Bianka, with a heartfelt hug. Not only that but she also gifted her the hat off her head, famous for her 22 video. Vanessa Bryant was also in attendance, sporting a jacket from Wildest Dreams.
Soon after, LA’s baseball team also got candid about their favorite Swift songs. Incidentally, the Dodgers even celebrated the NBA legend with a special jersey a few weeks ago.

David Peralta changes things up with Shake It Off, claiming it’s his daughter’s favorite song too. He even does a little shimmy dance step while singing the chorus. Brusdar Graterol shows his phone to the camera with Look What You Made Me Do halfway played on his Spotify app.
