With every passing day, MLB free agency rumors continue to take a wild turn. And this time, the Los Angeles Lakers legend, Magic Johnson, participates in these rumors by posing with two former Los Angeles Dodgers players and then sharing the image with a rather cryptic caption.

Justin Turner has played with the Dodgers since 2014 and played a significant role in their decade-long success story. Turner also stood as the unofficial captain of the Dodgers. However, after the conclusion of the 2022 season, the baseman opted out and declined his $16 million contract extension for the 2023 season. As a result, he entered the free market after the Dodgers walked out of the National League after their Division Series loss.
Magic Johnson drops a hint on Justin Turner’s free agency!
Magic Johnson, who won five NBA Championships, is now 63 years old. As is indicated by his Twitter upload, his wife, Cookie and he ran into Corey Seager and Justin Turner. His comment on Justin Turner, where he called him the captain of the Dodgers, despite Turner backing out of the Dodger contract, indicated the direction of Turner’s free agency, and his possible return to LA.
Look who Cookie and I ran into in Maui! World Series MVP and former Dodger Corey Seagar, and our @Dodgers Captain Justin Turner. @redturn2 @coreyseager_5 pic.twitter.com/sRXVAG1Ktl

His tweet said, “Look who Cookie and I ran into in Maui! World Series MVP and former Dodger Corey Seagar, and our @Dodgers Captain Justin Turner. @redturn2 @coreyseager_5“
Corey Seager left the Dodgers setup before the 2022 season and moved to Texas. He played a crucial role in the Dodgers’ World Series Victory in 2020, where he was awarded the World Series MVP Award. Turner, on the other hand, won the Roberto Clemente Award this year, and the 2017 Championship Series MVP award.
And when talking about Johnson, the former NBA champ is also a minority owner of the LA Dodgers. And that is the main reason, his unexpected meeting with Turner might give the Dodgers their captain back.
Are the Los Angeles Dodgers the most successful MLB team in the last decade?

Since 2013, the Dodgers haven’t missed a single postseason. Barring their World Championship Ring in 2020, they have made appearances in three Championship Series, four Division Series, and two World Championship Series, which they lost.
Knowing that the Dodgers have also lost their star shortstop Trea Turner to a rival team, losing Justin might not be a good option for the Dave Roberts-led team.
