From the looks of it, Smith looked almost offended as to how the Timberwolves player could not know anything about the Yankees legend.
What did Stephen A. Smith say about Alex Rodriguez?
Before Alex and Lore Marc took over the Timberwolves in 2021, players were asked about their feelings about the new owner. But their then-rookie Anthony Edwards’ feelings were the ones that created a frenzy in the sports world. The then nineteen-year-old basketball star was not a fan of baseball growing up. Hence, he did not know anything about A-Rod aside from the fact that he was going to be the new owner.
Smith, however, could not digest this fact. In a short clip posted on YouTube, Stephen could be heard saying, “Ain’t no way you just say something like that. You don’t know A-Rod, who made half of billion dollars from his salary playing baseball? You don’t know that A-Rod? I bet you’d know this A-Rod! (picture of JLo ARod).”
Then he went on to say that Edwards would definitely know who Jennifer Lopez was. And knowing JLo, there would be no chance of not knowing Alex Rodriguez. It did not look like Smith anytime getting convinced that there is a person exists who does not know about Alex Rodriguez.
