The off-season of Major League Baseball is a time when various things take place for the players. Many enter free agency and sign with new teams. American League’s Texas Rangers is one such team who recently signed a free agent who previously played for the Boston Red Sox. The latest addition to the Rangers’ pitching staff is 2018 World Series Champion, Texas native Nathan Eovaldi.?

The 32-year-old player signed with the Rangers for a two-year contract of $34 million with bonuses. And another $20 million option for 2025 if he managed to throw 300 innings in the upcoming season.?

How did Ranger’s latest addition to the team play in the 2022 season?

Eovaldi started the opening day as a pitcher for the third time in a row. Which led him to become only the tenth player of the Red Sox to do so. However, he did not have a great season this year because he ended up being on the injured list for most of it.?

He played a total of 20 games in the recent season. And took his team to win in 11 of them. He wrapped the season with 109.1 IP and gave 21 home runs to the opposition teams. But one rough season does not mean a rough season forever.?
