Most youngsters would see Jeter and feel inspired by what he did. Similarly, his sister has now expressed pride as her son follows in the Bronx Bombers legend’s footsteps. 

Sharlee Jeter played a massive role in her brother’s journey to fame. Even today, she assists while leading Derek’s Turn 2 Foundation, for which she once received a gigantic award named after MLB legend Jackie Robinson. Now, her son is following sjeter’s older brother’s steps.

Sharlee Jeter Expresses Pride as Her Son Wins MVP

Sharlee Jeter has a son named Jalen Jeter, born in 2012. The youngster’s father is unknown, but he is following in the footsteps of his uncle Derek Jeter. Most recently, the 11-year-old won the MVP award at the Ripken Tournament while playing with the Grindtime Baseball Academy team.

Sharlee shared an Instagram post with pictures of her son holding the medal and a belt to commemorate the event. She expressed her pride as Jalen made steps on his baseball journey.

In the caption, Sharlee said, “My boy got #MVP of the Ripken tournament this past weekend. So proud of his entire @grindtimeba baseball team. These boys fought hard this weekend. And it was HOT!!! Love you, Jay!” This was clearly a moment of immense pride for her and the Jeter family.
