Baseball legend Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez sold his Rolex watches that he bought from his first MLB salary to start his investment firm, A-Rod Corp, at the mere age of 18. Now, almost three decades later, A-Rod Corp has a net worth of over a billion dollars. Notably, it is a commendable feat achieved by Rodriguez.

While reaching this milestone, the investment firm dipped its hands into a multitude of businesses, including Monument Capital Management. A-Rod Corp founded this real estate firm back in 2012. Most recently, Alex became a speaker at its shows alongside one of his associates, Willy Walker. Yet another peer of A-Rod, Nelson Lopez, posted a story of Walker and Rodriguez being seated on stage, with the caption, “Shoutout to @WILLYWALK1212 You & @AROD crushed it last night! #lendingwithnelly.”

A-Rod also shared Nelson Lopez’s shout-out on his Instagram story. Alex has been an advocate of investing for decades now. And this was just another moment of him imparting the benefits of investing in real estate.

Who is Rodriguez’s mentor?

Until now, A-Rod has met countless people in his life, and hence, he has many mentors. But one of the first and the biggest of all is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett.

When Alex signed the biggest contract in MLB history, Buffett was the one who insured his contract. After Buffett agreed to insure his contract, Alex straight up called him and requested to meet him. And thus began the story of one of the best mentor-and-mentee relationships.
