Do you know Jimmy Donaldson? Mr. Beast? Yes, that famous content creator on YouTube! Well, Jimmy was a school baseball player who later pursued the career of content creation. And as it seems, he’s nailing it. Besides, his baseball stats were quite impressive, too! But more on that later, because currently we were all surprised to see him play with Aaron Judge on his channel.
It was a baseball tic-tac-toe faceoff between Judge and Mr. Beast. And who do you think won the game? None other than Judge, of course! With a victory in a lighthearted competition, Judge continues his blazing start to the season. Expectedly, the video went viral in seconds, and fans couldn’t help but notice how Donaldson was struggling to make a hit.
While Mr. Beast is a pro at making engaging content (remember his recreation of Squid Games that received over 50 million views in a single day?), baseball might not be his thing. Yeah, of course, in front of Judge, he will look bleak, but the struggle with such stats? That raised questions for fans.

Not expected when someone had 81 hits during his high school days. As an outfielder during his high school days, Mr. Beast amassed some impressive stats. According to MaxPreps, he had 65 RBIs, a .424 BA, and a .511 OBP in 70 games for Greenville Christian Academy. He also enjoyed a fantastic season in his senior year, stealing 23 bases in 25 attempts. This is something anyone would boast of and made the fans wonder why he couldn’t hit a ball.
Taking to X, the fans are sharing their take.
Fans are spellbound by Mr. Beast’s hitting struggle
Is someone struggling to hit off a tee even after having 81 hits in their career? No, that’s not sitting well with the fans. They are dubious and getting brutally honest on social media.
What’s your perspective on:
Did Mr. Beast's baseball skills vanish, or was Aaron Judge just too intimidating on the field?
Have an interesting take?
Why is his swing so bad then?

The video showed Mr. Beast failing to take the first hit, but accidentally the ball took a drop and hit the mark. Cannot even hit straight? Fans were bothered. But think about it – Mr. Beast last took on the ball in 2016, just before his YouTube journey began. Getting the bat in hand after 9 years! So, it needs some shots before a bulls-eye. Plus, he only played 70 games – not even a half-season. So, don’t you think the expectations were too much here?
He played tiny Christian schools with no actual baseball players

Mr. Beast was never a professional player. A fan highlighted how he only played for local events with no proper baseball players or training. So, comparing him to a pro – that would be too much pressure!
wait i knew mrbeast was good at sports but holy😭

Mr. Beast loves sports, and his videos prove how he likes to offer content related to games and competitions. And well, everything drove the fans to expect that he is a decent player. So, some even got disheartened with how he performed on the plate! But had he not been into content creation, you would’ve seen a different Beast on the field. But let’s accept it – what he chose to do, he is being pretty good at that!
i’ve seen enough. @Mariners put him in the lineup

Where do you think Mr. Beast will fit in today’s MLB scenario? One of the fans tagged the Mariners in the comments of that video. A sarcasm on point – the growing offense concerns for the team. According to MLB insider Kyle Glaser, the Mariners are having trouble with their offense, with many of their key hitters performing below their career averages. Mitch Garver and Julio Rodríguez are among the players who are playing far below their expected level. Might be enough to fit Mr. Beast in the lineup, right?

The best baseball player with the last name Donaldson.

Who is the best baseball player with the last name Donaldson? Consider Josh Donaldson, the former Blue Jays 3B. A fan shared why Mr. Beast, AKA Jimmy Donaldson, is the best baseball player with the same surname. Sarcasm, probably, but it is too bold to strike out Josh Donaldson. While his last few years were marred with injuries and just made contact with only 75.5% of all pitches in 2022 for the Yankees, he is still a 3x All-Star.

But everything aside, Mr. Beaast surely had a good start to his very own online baseball season. That too, with Aaron Judge himself. But we couldn’t help but wonder if he struggled to make a straight hit because of Judge’s enigmatic presence on the field! Probably, he got nervous! What do you feel?
