In the current scenario, it is difficult to pick a single baseball player as the best in the league. With players like Aaron Judge, Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Mookie Betts putting consistent performances over the years, they have become a heartbeat for their clubhouse. However, the LA Dodgers 1st baseman, Freddie Freeman, did not have any problem in picking the best players in the league.

Recently, in an interview, Freddie Freeman was asked to rank his teammate Mookie Betts among the best players in baseball. Without giving it much thought, Freeman put Betts as the third-best player in the game, Ohtani and Judge. However, this did not sit right with the baseball fans, as they claimed Betts in no way was the third-best player in MLB.

Saying that baseball fans are enraged would be an understatement. Putting Betts in the third position isn’t hurting them the most, but not considering Mike Trout in the top-3 hurt them the most. This led to the sports fans believing that Freeman does not know baseball at all.

Was Freeman right in putting Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani at the top of the list?

If the statistics put by both the players in the last season are to be considered, then the two of them are indeed the best players. Judge and Ohtani fought hard for the AL MVP title since both had an incredible season in 2022. Given the new season is about to start, fans still believe that the battle for the AL MVP will be between Judge and Ohtani once again.
