Dodgers couple spread holiday joy at a hospital

Mookie Betts was not alone when he brought holiday charm to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The Dodgers star was joined by his wife, Brianna. The couple made their rounds, surprising the kids with Los Angeles Dodgers merchandise and plenty of smiles. “It’s always super special to try and share the cheer that Santa brings to everyone,” Betts said. “Sometimes it gets kind of tough being in these rooms, so any little splash of joy, any splash of joy I can bring, I’ll do my best.” And he did! Betts’ genuine warmth and care made an impact on every patient he visited.

His gratitude for the Dodgers’ support was clear as he added, “Thank God the Dodgers are helping.” The Dodgers have a long-standing tradition of supporting UCLA Medical Center, and Mookie Betts’ recent visit was just one of many heartwarming examples. The crew has routinely scheduled player hospital visits over the years. Additionally, the club hosts patients at Dodger Stadium, where they get a chance to interact with their favorite players and enjoy the magic of the sport. And meanwhile, Betts’ generosity goes far beyond his visits to UCLA Medical Center during the holidays.
