Aaron Judge finally hit his 61st home run of the season on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. The New York Yankees star smashed it after missing in his last seven MLB games. Since it was a record-breaking home-run ball, everyone wanted to catch the ball and earn at least a million dollars.

However, not a single fan was lucky enough to even touch the home-run ball. When Judge hit the ball, it directly went to the Jays’ bullpen area. And later, after the game, the Yankees slugger not only received his hit-ball but also did an incredible gesture by gifting it to his mom, who was also in the stands to watch the game.

No one was lucky enough to catch the 61st home run ball of Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge is probably the only Yankees player who has been consistent throughout this season. Right from the start of the 2022 MLB season, Judge is having a blast in the ballparks. With his 61st home run this year, he has equaled the single-season home run record in the American League.

Knowing that there were already speculations that the 61st home run will be worth over $1 million, almost every MLB fan was desperate to catch the ball. But since no one did it, one Twitter user called it a million-dollar drop.

A fan even said that the price for the 62nd home-run ball automatically will go to a new high. Another MLB fan was glad the Blue Jays’ fans failed to grab the historical home-run ball.

When talking about the record, Judge is only the third player to smash 60 or more home runs in the American League. Before him, only Babe Ruth (60) and Roger Maris (61).
