Mike Trout is in his 13th season with Major League Baseball and his performance is as amazing as ever. Having been with the Los Angeles Angels since the beginning, the 31-year-old is a fan favorite. He consistently proves his abilities on the field, and the team’s recent game against the Toronto Blue Jays proved it. Trout blasted a three-run homer in the fifth inning and eventually led his team to a 9-5 win on Saturday.

Angel Stadium was full of cheering fans, especially after witnessing the first night’s loss to the Toronto team. The center fielder has become a central figure in the Los Angeles team over the years, as his massive contract proves. And Trout apparently not only loves his team but the city he plays for as well. After all, there’s no place like home.

Interestingly, Trout grew up in Millville, New Jersey, in a baseball family. His brother played for the Minnesota Twins and, as for Mike himself, he grew up a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. The athlete even attended their World Series Parade in 2008. But when it was time for him to join the major leagues, Trout got selected by the Angels. The rest, as they say, was history.

Now LA is home for the 31-year-old and his family. Trout recently posted a touching video to Instagram with the caption, “There’s no place like home! 💪 #LTBU #letsgo”. The post showed clips from his career with the Angels to the track ‘Coming Home’ by Skylar Grey and Diddy. Everything was truly on theme! Trout has taken the team to new heights, so it’s only natural he would consider its city his home after so many years there.

What did fans think about Trout’s heartwarming post?

Safe to say, MLB fans were moved.

“greatest of all time,”

“TROUT,”

“🔥🔥 LFG !!! Light that baby up 🙌”, wrote fans on the athlete’s post.
