Ever since Lenny Dykstra retired in 1996, the former Phillies outfielder wished to return to baseball in an operational or managerial capacity. Barring his brief stint as an off-season instructor with the Mets, Dykstra never got to fulfill his return to baseball. And since then, his strange personality has excessively come across on Twitter, like in his latest tweet after Lionel Messi triumphed at the 2022 soccer world cup in Qatar.

After Argentina won the FIFA World Cup, a die-hard Lionel Messi fan and popular TV host uploaded an image of herself being decked in the Argentinian kit. And Lenny Dykstra continued to display his strange personality with a not-so-decent comment toward the Fox host, Britt McHenry.
How did Dykstra respond to the Lionel Messi fan?
Britt McHenry uploaded an image of herself with an Argentina flag face tattoo, with the caption, “Vamos #Messi”.

Lenny Dykstra, who made three All-Star appearances with the Phillies, responded to the tweet in an archetypal and newly established Dykstra way. His one-word response merely said “#would”.

Both Messi and Dykstra won the ultimate award
Lionel Messi proved to the world that age is just a number. The 2022 FIFA World Cup, hosted by Qatar, will be remembered for various reasons, and the biggest out of them all will be Lionel Messi. Before the World Cup began, it was dubbed as the magnum opus of both Messi’s and Ronaldo’s career, as the storyline of “Who is the real GOAT?” was ready to reach its final destination.

Lenny Dykstra, on the other hand, didn’t have a career of great success. But he achieved the single most unbeatable and glaringly valuable award in 1986, which even Barry Bonds couldn’t acclaim. He won the World Championship with the New York Mets in 1986. However, Dykstra’s run in 1986 was average at best, with 127 hits, 45 runs batted in, and eight homers out of his 431 at-bats.
