Alex Rodriguez is a businessman and entrepreneur worth $350 million today. But before his successful business ideas and ventures, he was one of MLB’s biggest superstars. During his career, Rodriguez achieved more individual success than most players in baseball history. He was also able to win a World Series title while with the New York Yankees.

But his individual statistics and achievements also made him one of the great over the years. Rodriguez was one of the most talented all-around players baseball has ever seen. Most recently, A-Rod revisited a statistic that puts him among the Yankees’ most elite stars. 

Alex Rodriguez has the third-highest on-base streak in Yankees history

During his time with the New York Yankees, Alex Rodriguez achieved some incredible feats. Most recently, he shared an Instagram Story in which he attached a story by an Instagram account called Yankees History. The story showed the Yankees’ top four on-base streaks in team history.

Sitting in third place was none other than Rodriguez himself, with 53 consecutive games of getting on base in 2004. It is just another statistic that puts the former Yankees’ third baseman among baseball’s elite. 

But A-Rod was unable to beat some Yankees icons, with Joe DiMaggio in the first place and Derek Jeter in second place. In 1941, DiMaggio recorded 74 consecutive games of getting on base. Jeter recorded 57 consecutive games of getting on base between 1998 and 1999. The third place was occupied by current Yankees captain Aaron Judge who is in the middle of a 43-game streak right now.

2004 was a big year for Rodriguez in general. Not only had he won the AL MVP the year before, but it was also his first year in pinstripes. The beginning of one of the Yankees’ best players ever, culminated in Rodriguez achieving a lifelong dream. 

A-Rod achieved his dream with the Yankees in 2009

In 2009, Alex Rodriguez played a huge role in helping the New York Yankees win a World Series title. He played a massive role in the postseason and finally answered critics’ with a title. But the Yankees have not won a title since, and A-Rod recently discussed why, calling out team ownership.
