While playing in his retiring year, the Cardinals legend also completed his 700 home runs in Major League Baseball and became only the fourth player to do so. Apart from being an unbelievable hitter, the Cardinals legend is also an incredible human being.
Albert Pujols gifted Edwin Encarnacion his baseball bat with which he hit the record-breaking 700th home run
Not many are aware of this fact, but Albert Pujols and Edwin Encarnacion share a great relationship between them. Even though they did not play together, the two Dominican-American sluggers have been friends for a while.
Their friendship is so special that when Pujols hit his 600th home run, the Cardinals legend gifted him a necklace. And now, when Albert Pujols has become a member of the 700-home run club, the Cardinals legend has gifted his baseball bat to Encarnacion.
Per renowned MLB insider Hector Gomez, it is the same bat with which Pujols hit the record-breaking 700th home run in Major League Baseball.

Who can be the next to enter the 700-home run club?
Leave the 700-club. As things stand, it is almost impossible for any MLB player to enter even the 600-home run club. Because only Miguel Cabrera, who is already 39, has over 500 home runs in his MLB career. And given his current form, Cabrera might retire in a couple of seasons.
