The Marlins saw the potential and athleticism and signed him as their international signing. Being regarded as the most talented of the Salas brothers, Andrew’s competitive spirit and deep understanding of the game were the qualities that made him a perfect fit for the Marlins’ system.

“He’s somebody that eats, sleeps, breathes baseball and was just kind of built-in that way,” Marlins director of international scouting David Hernandez Beayne said. For the Marlins, it’s not just a mere international signing, it is a strategic move that will surely pay off for years to come.

Andrew Salas takes the baton

By the time he was 16, he had already established himself as one of the top international prospects in the 2025 class. From his early days, being familiar with the best pitching in the world made his offensive game strong.

As one of the top prospects in the 2025 class, Andrew will likely begin his career in the minor league. Over the next few seasons, he will work with the Marlins and hone his skills. He’ll likely start in the lower levels, such as the Dominican Summer League (DSL) or Florida Complex League (FCL).
