MLB Icon Derek Jeter Goes From Fishing For Gum to Joining a $13 Billion Dollar Industry With His New Venture

Since retiring from baseball, Derek Jeter has become a successful businessman and investor. The New York Yankees legend has invested in a wide variety of business opportunities since retiring in 2014. This allowed him to pick up experience in different industries over the years. Furthermore, it has also helped him to learn how to run a business venture properly.

Jeter is currently involved in a variety of different opportunities that mean a lot to him. Most recently, he talked about venturing into a $13 billion industry and his first experience with it as a child.

Derek Jeter recently talked about Arena Club and his first thoughts about trading cards

Collecting trading cards is a hobby and passion that people worldwide have gotten into. Even Derek Jeter collected cards during his childhood. Jeter is now venturing into the $13-billion sports trading card industry with Arena Club. One can buy, sell, collect, and trade cards online with Arena Club. Jeter recently opened up on the venture and his first experience with trading cards. He stated that he only bought cards for the gum that came with them.

While talking to Fast Company, Jeter said, “When I first started collecting cards, it was strictly to get the gum inside”. Although his relationship with cards started as a way to get gum, it has evolved over the years. Jeter went from collecting cards to appearing on them as a Yankee star and is now building a business revolving around cards. Furthermore, he is bringing technological innovation to the industry.
