Bonds’ alleged use of the drugs has made him remain as a disputed legend of the game. However, the former athlete, and home run king, has remained upfront about his interests and being there for the people in his life. And his recent action would be the perfect example of the same. 

Bonds and Johnny Gill have been friends for a long time now. Considering each other brothers, they’ve appeared at many events together and have also spoken highly of each other. Not long ago, Grammy award-nominated singer Johnny Gill and his brother Randy Gill lost their mother. Needless to say, the former athlete is devastated for his brother. Hence, Bonds encouraged his fans to pray for Johnny, his brother, and their family going through this tough time. 

How did Barry Bonds encourage his fans to pray for Gill?

A mother’s love is the most precious for anyone, no matter the age of a person. Hence, the pain of losing someone that precious might never go away. But if there’s support from the right people, things might become easier to go through. Therefore, to support his brother, Bonds took to Instagram to garner prayers and wishes for Johnny and Randy’s mother.

Bonds posted a picture of his long-time friend and brother, Johnny Gill, with his mother, Annie Gill, smiling. Beside the picture, he wrote, “Please keep my bother and friend Johnny Gill, Randy Gill, and their family in your prayers for the loss of their mother. R.I.P Annie Gill🙏 🕊️ ❤️” 

Moments after that, fans of Bonds and Gill brothers from all over the world started to pray for the Gill family. As they wrote:
