Boston Red Sox fans have had a tough time this off-season, with disappointing moves from the top brass. But most recently, former Red Sox star and 2018 World Series Champion Mitch Moreland retired from baseball. Moreland was not signed for the 2022 season and looked likely to remain a free agent for the upcoming season. Baseball Insider Tyler Milliken shared a Tweet confirming the news and honoring Moreland.?

The news has resulted in an outpouring of support from fans. Some remembered his great moments. Others wished him well in retirement. There was general support for Moreland as he embarks on his post-playing journey.?

With spring training going on, the Red Sox fans do not have much to celebrate. Even Spring Training brought more loss to the Red Sox, as Justin Turner suffered a brutal injury. But things are starting to look great for the team, at least in Spring Training.?

Boston Red Sox fans are celebrating as their team dominates Spring Training. They have won all 8 of their Grapefruit League games, and are the only unbeaten team left in Spring Training. Although this form is unlikely to carry into the regular season, it gives fans something to celebrate.
