Furthermore, during the game, supporters were calling for John Fisher to sell the team. But in response to these protests, the A’s has donated all the proceeds from the latest home game to two local organizations. In particular, they will give it to the Alameda County Community Food Bank and the Oakland Public Education Fund. Talkin? Baseball shared the news via Twitter.?

In a Tweet, they said, ?The A’s announce that they’re donating all of the ticket revenue from tonight’s game to local community organizations?. They also shared the Press Release announcing the move by the Oakland-based team.?

But as long as the move to Las Vegas is happening, fans are likely to continue protesting. Only time will tell the full story as the Oakland community fights to keep their baseball team. Despite their recent run of good form, the Athletics team is still one of the worst in MLB, per their current record.

The Athletics have seen a sharp decline over the last few years. This is because all of their young and talented players were allowed to leave for virtually nothing. John Fisher did not want to pay them bigger contracts in free agency and allowed them to leave. Furthermore, very little money has been invested in developing a roster after that. In just a few years, the team has gone from challenging for the playoffs to the worst in the MLB.
