The spectators at American Family Field witnessed a hilarious scene in an MLB game on Wednesday. The scene later went viral on social media. Therefore, the hilarious reactions crossed over to the virtual dimension too.  

American Family Field is the home ground of the MLB team the Milwaukee Brewers. The stadium hosted the last game of a home series on Wednesday. The Brewers played against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Notably, it was also the last game of the ongoing MLB season for the two teams. 

The Brewers won the three-game home series against the Diamondbacks. However, the Diamondbacks managed to win the last game of the series. In doing so, they concluded a disappointing season with a consolation victory. But as is often the case in some baseball games, the focus shifted to an off-field incident. 

A desperate MLB fan at the American Family Field 

The Brewers had an unsatisfactory end to the series and season on Wednesday. The Diamondbacks defeated the Brewers by a 4-2 margin in Wednesday’s game. But a Brewers fan surely won the internet. A laughable act from a fan went viral on Wednesday night.  

The desperate fan made an acrobatic stunt. He jumped over a row of seats to try and catch a foul ball. Nonetheless, his heroic effort ultimately proved to be fruitless. Despite making a spectacular dive, he ultimately remained unsuccessful in catching the ball. 

But he sure got all the attention on social media. And baseball fans were rather quick to react. Jomboy Media shared the video clip on Twitter saying, “Last game of the season. Gotta lay out for the foul ball.” 

One person jokingly wrote, “And that’s how daddy broke his ribs.”

Therefore, he got public admiration simply based on his whole-hearted attempt.

The seasonal campaign for the two teams

The Brewers had mixed performances throughout the season. They nearly lost out on a wildcard entry to the post-season round. It’s the first time since 2017 that the Brewers have failed to proceed beyond the regular season. Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks struggled throughout the entire season and got eliminated long ago due to a poor record.
