$350 Million Man Alex Rodriguez’s Unlikely Appearance Outside Donald Trump’s Property Puts Him in an Awkward Spot

Alex Rodriguez has been involved in his fair share of controversies over the years. And while his PED usage and suspension from MLB were the biggest of those, a recent move may take the cake. On Monday, April 3rd, Donald Trump arrived in New York City to face criminal charges. And guess which former baseball star was spotted near Trump Tower in Manhattan?

The former US President has made headlines over the years for various reasons, but his arraignment is a piece of news for the history books. Trump is the first US President to face criminal charges. But perhaps more interesting for baseball fans is the fact that Alex Rodriguez was spotted in Manhattan. A-Rod and Trump have nothing in common, except, perhaps, that they’re both businessmen. But while they don’t run in the same circles, A-Rod was in NYC on Monday. And it has caused wild speculation.

What does Alex Rodriguez’s appearance near Trump Tower mean?

The same day the former President was due to arrive for his hearing at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, A-Rod also arrived in the borough. The former Yankee lives in New York, so of course, one can point out that it’s no crime to walk around in one’s own city. As per Fox News, A-Rod’s appearance at that particular spot added unnecessary fuel to the fire (that is the Trump controversy).

The two have interacted over the years as major personalities in US pop culture. But this particular appearance could spell trouble for the retired athlete since he’s already something of a controversial figure in the baseball world.

Interestingly, this is not the first time these two names have had a direct connection. Back in May 2022, the investor group that Rodriguez is part of bought what was formerly the Trump International Hotel in Washington. But that is still not the most bizarre connection between the two.

Rodriguez was heading to a wedding in May last year where Trump was also apparently present. The event was taking place at Mar-a-Lago, a Trump-owned site, so of course he was attending. But A-Rod didn’t want people to know about it so he posted a picture about his current whereabouts. Except he tagged the location as Palm Beach Bath and Tennis Club, also in Florida.
