The Boston Red Sox trip brought with it a lot of new things for Juan Soto. For the first time, he was an active participant in the New York Yankees – Red Sox rivalry. On top of that for a change, the superstar played as a left-fielder. Due to Alex Verdugo’s experience and the right field’s sheer size, the team found it better to give Soto the shorter porch. However, even after all of that, he has revealed of having “fun” in Fenway Park.

As most fans already know, Fenway Park is perhaps one of the most iconic and unique ballparks in baseball today. Similar to the Yankee Stadium and its right field, Fenway Park’s left field is quite short. However, the Red Sox’s Green Monster makes it difficult to exploit that weakness. Soto experienced that as well when he barely managed to get a flyball over that huge 37-foot wall.

“It’s a pretty good ballpark, Soto said about the Fenway Park in his postgame interview. “It’s pretty fun, that green monster can be fun but it’s not that fun when you see a lot of balls hit the wall. But definitely it is what it is, we try our best and it’s cool to be out there, Soto later added. And that has added an interesting situation for the Red Sox.

Until now, Juan Soto’s free agency talks have been dominated by the New York teams. With both the Yankees and the New York Mets being called favorites for him. Though some have put the likes of the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs on the list, the noise around them hasn’t been as loud. But one can’t deny, that a player like Soto comes rarely.

Could the Boston Red Sox find a way to exploit this “fun” that Soto is having to make a bold offer? Despite their recent frugality, one can’t deny that the Red Sox can compete monetarily if they want to.

For the past few years, the Boston Red Sox have played more of a passive role in the free-agent market. Instead of going after big talent, they’ve been far more focused on their farm. Though that hasn’t been a fruitful endeavor, it has caused a lot of frustration among the fanbase. That feeling was exacerbated this season after seeing the New York Yankees work overtime to improve themselves.

Bosox Injection’s Katie Manganelli expressed the same idea in her article. Manganelli fielded the idea that perhaps John Henry could combat that fan sentiment by going after Juan Soto. The Red Sox’s payroll has more than enough space for Soto. On top of that despite being in a rebuild, the team is maintaining a .500 record. And in Juan Soto, they can have a player around whom they can create a team. So Could the stars align for the BoSox?
