Rookie hazing has been a part of Major League Baseball for over a century. It was a ritual in the baseball league till 2016, when MLB banned the tradition of veterans dressing the rookies as women. But before that, it was a common practice. And Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout got hazed at least three times as a rookie.

Not to forget when Trout dressed up as pop icon Lady Gaga once.

Years before signing the largest contract in the history of baseball, not only did Trout impersonate Lady Gaga, but he also flaunted it in style. He knew it was coming from the veterans, and he was all for it. He took it in a playful manner and had a great time all the times he got hazed.

When did Mike Trout have to dress up as the Queen of Pop?

September 2011 was the time when rookie Mike Trout of the Angels got hazed for the second time. He accepted the challenge of dressing up as Gaga. Angels’ star slugger had to not only dress up as the singer, but also greet the Angels’ fans in the same manner.

Trout was wearing a black and silver dress that covered half of his thighs. He had star-studded goggles on. And to top it all off, he had a blonde wig on his head, which made him look like Gaga.

Thus, the largest contract holder in MLB history perfectly impersonated Lady Gaga more than a year after her infamous New York Yankees moment.

What was Lady Gaga’s infamous New York Yankees moment?

Normally, it is considered acceptable when a celebrity visits a clubhouse after the game. However, it did not go well when Gaga paid her visit to the Yankees clubhouse when they had just faced a defeat in a game. Notably, during the 2010 regular season, the Yankees authorities did not like when Gaga visited the Pinstripes clubhouse after a sound defeat against the Mets.
