How can the 2025 season be another chance for Judge to make history?

FanGraphs predicts that Judge will hit 46 home runs and maintain an outstanding 170 wRC+, putting him on track to make history once more, according to MLB.com’s Sarah Langs. Judge would only become the 11th player in MLB history to hit 45 home runs in four different seasons if he were to accomplish these totals. The fact that he might become just the third player in baseball history to record at least 35 home runs and a 170 wRC+ in four straight seasons is even more amazing.

Judge’s ability to crush home runs has been a hallmark of his career, and in 2024, he showcased just how unstoppable he is. Finishing the season with a .322/.458/1.159 slash line, Judge led all of MLB with 58 home runs, 144 RBIs, and a 10.8 WAR. The 32-year-old would further solidify his status as one of baseball’s all-time greats if he were to have a fourth season with at least 50 home runs, tying baseball greats like Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, and Sammy Sosa for the most 50-homer seasons in MLB history.
