The MLB season might have concluded, but the San Francisco Giants’ woes have continued into the offseason. The Giants failed to make a significant impact on their campaign this year. While in the winter meetings, they have faltered in locking on to their targeted players. Now, with the circulating reports of the Giants’ latest recruit, they still can’t escape the string of jokes shot at them.

So, as the news headlines are presently stating, the Giants have now acquired Michael Conforto. After a string of failed signing attempts, the Giants are thus seeing a ray of hope. However, as it is presently happening with the Giants, their losses are rather defining them. So the fans have presented their doubts rather than excitement.
San Francisco Giants can’t steer clear of doubtful fans
In terms of player acquisitions, the Giants have been polar opposites of the New York Mets this year. As per common knowledge, the Giants came close to signing Aaron Judge and almost acquired Carlos Correa. However, Judge decided to re-sign with the New York Yankees, whereas the Mets acquired Correa. Therefore, Correa became a part of the Mets’ trading rollercoaster with an estimated $400 million payroll.
Now, in order to recuperate from the blows sustained throughout the year, the Giants have signed Conforto. He has thus signed a two-year $36 million deal with the franchise. A onetime All-Star player, Conforto made his debut with the Mets in 2015. Due to an injury, he remained unavailable for the entire 2022 MLB season.
The Fox Sports network posted the news on their Twitter account, quoting, “Michael Conforto is signing with the San Francisco Giants, per B Nightengale.”

It looks like the fans are still having a considerable amount of doubt over the fulfillment of Conforto’s contract with the Giants.
But there is still time to see how the future unfolds between Conforto and the Giants.
Therefore, as the MLB world is well aware, Correa’s $350 million contract with the Giants has ended. Since he failed his fitness test with the Giants, Correa’s introductory meet got postponed and later canceled. The Mets have then swooped him with a $315 million deal. Therefore, the same fear now lurks in the minds of Giants fans regarding Conforto.
