It’s officially time to say, “Summer vibes only!” Bring sunscreen and iced drinks because it’s time to sit by the pool and get some sun. Whether playing beach volleyball or reading one’s fill of summer romances, it’s an excellent time to have fun. And the former Yankees player Alex Rodriguez is not getting out of the water soon.

The ex-shortstop has been spending his time in Minneapolis as he focuses on his NBA and WNBA teams from Minnesota, which is incidentally known for its winters. A-Rod has been having a great summer, traveling to London for MLB while also focusing on his eponymous organization A-Rod Corp. But looking at his non-professional life, it seems like Rodriguez is having the time of his life.

A-Rod has an intriguing childhood story, from being born in Manhattan to moving to the Dominican Republic, then back to the US in Miami, Florida. His career in MLB has also taken him from Seattle to Texas to the Big Apple.

But after hanging up his cleats, Miami is the place he calls home now. But despite its beaches and his close association with New York, Rodriguez is ready to snub both.

After making headlines for attending a Twins game last week, A-Rod has declared Minnesota his favorite, at least for the summer. The former ballplayer recently posted pictures and videos on Instagram, captioning, “Summer in Minnesota… can’t beat it!☀️” Everyone is featured in the post, from his daughters to his girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro.

The first slide is a video showcasing a collection of clips to the soundtrack of Bette Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes. In each clip, Rodriguez enjoys his free time, from swimming to playing basketball and lying by the pool. The rest of the slides are a collection of his work days, from attending NBA games to celebrating his birthday.

A-Rod May Break Yet Another Contract Deal

The retired baseballer is known for his lucrative contracts and for breaking his record for the highest MLB deal once. Next up, he may do it as an analyst for ESPN’s rival, FOX Sports.

A-Rod has been working with the channel and ESPN for the last few years but has yet to be in an exclusive capacity. That all changes soon if a contract extension deal with FOX is confirmed.

While Rodriguez indulges in basketball and business in Minnesota, baseball will always be his first love.
