The most awaited pastime of the country is back with an ultimate showdown. Even though the sport is not full-fledged back yet, its anticipation is getting bigger with each day. With the regular season a month away, predictions have already started to come in about players’ future. One such hot topic is the impending free agency of the LA Angels’ two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani. Having made his MLB debut with the Angels in 2018, Shotime has achieved quite a lot. However, only individually.
Meanwhile, prince fish Mike Trout has recently made a bold claim about the one thing that he and the rest of the Angels team must do to keep Ohtani in the Angels post-free agency.

Even with Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, two of the best players in the entire big league, the Angels have failed to reach the postseason, let alone a world series, since 2014. During MLB’s 2022 season, reports came that the Angels’ owner Arte Moreno was looking at the prospective sale of the franchise. However, in January 2023, he announced that it would no longer happen. Thereby making the baseball fans think that multi-talented Ohtani will probably leave the franchise soon after he enters free agency.
However, Shotime’s teammate, the Fish, does not want it to happen at any cost. Therefore, in an interview with the New York Post, he said, “This has got to be the year. Got to be (to enter playoffs). Especially if we want to keep Shohei.” Furthermore, he added, “We win and get to the playoffs, he’d think about it a little bit more.”

If or not Ohtani will stay with the Angels is still in the hands of fate. But this isn’t something that Ohtani’s fans want for him.
Ohtani’s fans are not happy with Mike Trout
Aside from disagreeing with Trout’s agenda, baseball fans did not fail to notice that it was the official Twitter account of the New York Mets’ news, SNY TV, that posted about Trout. Therefore, Ohtani’s fans also took it into consideration.
Here’s how the baseball fans reacted to Trout’s words for Ohtani on SNY’s tweet.
Sooo you’re saying Trout REALLY wants to stay there?!? 🤦🏻♂️
Not that I expect him in Queens, but man, you’ve gotta want better at some point. It’s still boggles me on the extension he signed knowing they’re not doing anything to improve— Edwin 🇩🇴💈💇🏻 (@cutzbyedwin) February 28, 2023
Making the playoffs inorder to keep a player from leaving instead of trying to win a championship. Gotcha

Considering the @angels couldn't make the playoffs without the rest of the American League staying home from mid July forward? Ohtani is no longer on this team. Just figure it a done deal.
Hoping @mets will sign him 🙂

Sad that the best player in baseball over last 10 yrs is on one of the worst-run teams. How long have they been trying to fix SP? How bad have they drafted and how bad has minor league system been that they can't get decent pitching to sniff playoffs? Massive failure for MLB.

A couple of the fans simply said that Ohtani would be a Met post this season. Whereas one of them said that it’s sad to see one of the best players in the league (Trout) be on one of the worst teams in MLB.
