Having played for over 24 years of baseball, the Cincinnati Reds legend, Pete Rose, entertained an era in MLB. With three World Series, two Gold Gloves, one league MVP, and several other awards, Pete Rose was a blockbuster from the plate. Had it not been for his controversies, the Reds and Phillies legend would have been in the Hall of Fame.

Given his tremendous records from the plate, it is no secret that Rose was an excellent hitter in the game. But very few people know that the Reds legend was also an extraordinary fielder in the ballparks.

Pete Rose had the highest fielding average in baseball!

In his own words, Pete Rose never made any mental errors in the game of baseball. However, the Reds legend accepted that he did make physical errors, such as missing the balls, wrong throws or bases, etc.

?Well, physical errors are part of the game. You are gonna to miss balls. You are gonna make bad throws… But mental errors are not part of the game. The throw, the wrong base or to get thrown out… That’s just at baseball. I didn’t make any mental errors. And everybody makes physical errors,? Pete Rose said to Graham Bensinger in 2017.

The Reds legend also reminded everyone that he holds the record for the highest fielding average in the history of baseball. Per Rose, any sport has its two aspects; One is offense, and the other one is defense.
