When Mariano Rivera was asked his opinion on the comparisons between ‘Enter Sandman’ and ‘Narco’, he was straightforward. The Yankee legend was quick to say that there’s no comparison. He shut down the question with just one sentence before further explaining.

Rivera said that there are 17 years of history and many championships behind his entrance song. Talkin’ Yanks shared the video of Rivera answering the question via Twitter.
In the video, Rivera said, “There’s no comparison. There’s no comparison on that you know? That song was there for 17 years and many championships. So there’s no comparison.”

Rivera was quick to shut down any comparisons, and rightly so. The Yankee legend won 5 World Series titles and broke numerous records while walking out to that song. Furthermore, Diaz is yet to pick up any massive achievements and has only been using the song since 2018. Getting back to Rivera, he was recognized for his achievements in a historic way in 2019.
