Baseball is finally back! With the World Baseball Classic underway, fans are finally getting some action after the long off-season. There are many players that will shine for their nations and put on great performances. With so many talented athletes, there are bound to be some sensational plays. Most recently, an outfielder representing Panama made a fantastic fielding play despite a rough collision. 

Panama Outfielder Luis Castillo made a huge catch despite colliding with a teammate

The World Baseball Classic is underway and the first couple of games have taken place. Panama took on Chinese Taipei in their first game of the tournament and cruised to a 12-5 victory. But during the game, Panama outfielder Luis Castillo made a tremendous play. He caught a fly ball and held on to it despite colliding with his teammate Jose Ramos. Furthermore, both he and Ramos stayed on the field after the collision. It is the first sensational play of the tournament, hopefully signaling some great plays to come. Fox Sports: MLB shared a video of the catch on Twitter. 

In the Tweet, they said, “Luis Castillo makes the catch despite the collision! Both Luis Castillo and Jose Ramos both stayed in the game 👏👏👏”. The Tweet also highlighted the fact that both players stayed in the game despite the heavy collision.
