With the College World Series currently going on, baseball fans have been treated to some exciting games. This includes classic matchups as the top teams aim for the ultimate prize. Most recently, a top team broke a unique record, giving fans a reason to celebrate. This came after a tough loss in the Men’s College World Series. 

The premier college tournament is down to the wire, with six teams fighting for it all. Despite a setback for LSU, their fans celebrated an interesting “jello” record. 

LSU fans break Jello Shot record at Men’s College World Series with help from Raising Cane’s CEO

The College World Series is a marquee event with thousands of fans showing up every year to watch. This year, LSU has made it to the World Series and recently faced off against Wake Forest. Despite the close 3-2 loss, LSU fans broke the record for most Jello shots by buying  21,435. This breaks the all-time record set by Ole Miss fans last year. Raising Cane’s CEO Todd Graves played a massive role by buying 6000 of those shots. The official Twitter account for the challenge shared the news. 

In a Tweet, they said, “Records are meant to be broken! All time team total ✅ All time overall total ✅ Guinness Book of World Record for shots purchased by one person ✅. @ToddGraves head fry cook from @raisingcanes out here supporting @LSUbaseball. Congrats on the new record. #RoccosOmaha #Cws2023”. Despite the devastating loss in the 9th inning, LSU had something to celebrate.

Furthermore, they have one more chance to go further in the College World Series. Florida made a massive comeback to keep their dream alive. LSU may need to do the same. Let us have a look at how fans have reacted to the Jello Shot challenge record.

Winning the Jello Shot Challenge is a compromise for LSU fans. But the reactions were quite positive since the team still has a chance to win it all. Moreover, some fans were excited about breaking the record.
