New York Yankees star rookie Oswaldo Cabrera is leaning into his baseball talents and lending his skill to the team. The 23-year-old is a multi-talented player who shines at every position he graces, as witnessed by his performance in the 2022 season. Often compared to former Yankees captain Derek Jeter, Cabrera showcases signs of Jeter’s talent as well as his signature charm.
Signing with the Yankees at just 16 years old, he debuted in MLB in August 2022 as starting third baseman. Since then, he has taken up various positions, like second baseman, shortstop, and right fielder. A relatively newer member of the Bronx Bombers, the front office is making full use of his talents and hoping to inspire the rest of the team in the meantime.
But does Cabrera himself have a favorite position to play at? Well, he has an interesting answer!

Certain players flourish at certain positions, with a strong arm for pitching, a big body that helps to field, or a powerful hitting ability that is unmatched on the mound. So far, we have seen Cabrera take up any challenge that comes his way and proudly rise to meet it. Given, it’s only been a single season, that just raises future expectations even more.
Yankees fans certainly love him.

That’s the player the Yankees should be modeling their future picks after! Enough of these HR wannabe hitters. Enough of the Strikeouts in the Playoffs!!! He’s a baller!
