Having six members of your team participate in the All-Star game is a surreal feeling. Six players from the Los Angeles Dodgers will represent their club at the All-Star Game. Overall, for the fifth consecutive year, the Dodgers have managed to send five or more players to the mega event. This indicates the franchise’s depth, overall 2024 season gameplay, and the National League West dominance. 

Luckily, the fans spotted some of the Dodgers’ key players at the airport. The two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, and veteran Freddie Freeman were snapped at the airport. Eventually, they were at the airport to go to Arlington, Texas, from Detroit, Michigan, for the 2024 All-Star game. Immediately after winning a three-game series against the Tigers, the trio left for the All-Star event, sharing a glimpse through a social media post.

After boasting a strong performance against the Baltimore Orioles, Dodgers stars posted for a picture at the Detroit, Michigan, airport. More to it, out of the six players LADs have selected, at least five will play in the All-Star game. Heading into the 2024 mega event, the men in blues have posted a dominant performance. They have a 56-41 record, and a .577 winning percentage shows their squad performance despite recent injuries.  

Speaking about the selected All-Star players, Shohei Ohtani has led the pack. His offensive game has been paramount despite being unable to pitch for a long time since his elbow injury. He leads offensive numbers with a batting average of .316, a staggering 29 home runs, 69 RBIs, and 1.036 OPS. On the other hand, Freddie Freeman also had a decent run in 2024, having a batting average of .291 with 14 home runs, .887 OPS, and an impressive 61 RBIs.

Even more, Will Smith has been one of the finest Los Angeles Dodgers catchers. In terms of batting, Smith is hitting at .272, along with 15 home runs and a .838 OPS, making him a perfect candidate for the All-Star event. Another fan favorite, Teoscar Hernandez, was also selected for the 2024 All-Star game. However, his absence from the photos has sparked rumors among social media fans about his All-Star participation.

While the fans talked about other Dodger players selected for the All-Star game, the absence of Teoscar Hernandez has raised questions. On similar lines, tons of fans asked about Hernandez’s absence. Interestingly, a fan wrote, “Teo ain’t going ?.” Through the latest Instagram post, the fans only saw Ohtani, Freeman, and Smith boarding the All-Star flight.

Interestingly, Teoscar Hernandez is also participating in the Home Run Derby. The event is on the 15th, and he probably would have boarded an earlier flight to Texas. As per reports, Teoscar had to be present at 7:00 PM for the Home Run Derby batting practice. 

On the other hand, supporting the Dodgers, another enthusiastic fan said, “Rough few weeks, but you’re still our boys in Blue!” Indeed, the Dodgers had a few rough weeks. Though Ohtani handled their offense, the pitching looked sluggish. However, a recent series win over the Orioles might have lifted the Los Angeles Dodgers’ confidence. 

Additionally, there was one fan who admired Freddie Freeman. Expressing feelings, the fan wrote, “MAN I LOVE FREDDIE.” Undoubtedly, Freddie’s achievements are enough to make any fan love him. He is an eight-time MLB All-Star who won the Gold Glove Award in 2018 and Silver Slugger in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Also, he has smashed six grand slams in his MLB career, proving his dominance as a fierce hitter.

Also, a Dodgers supporter wanted the men in blue to rest before the mega event. Sharing his thoughts, the fan said, “Team needs its rest and to heal.” Indeed, the flight from Detroit to Texas will take a few hours. The All-Star event will take place on 16th July at the Globe Life Field. Therefore, if the players get some time to rest, it could benefit their overall performance. 

More to it, insisting the Los Angeles Dodgers men win games, another fanatic stated, “Stop losing pls.” Despite a recent series win against the Orioles, the Dodgers seem to struggle. Most importantly, Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Tyler, the three big players, are unavailable to pitch. Therefore, manager Dave Roberts might look for potential pitching prospects amid the Dodgers injury and the MLB trade deadlines. 

Eventually, sending five/six of their team players to the All-Star game is an achievement. It’s a result of the perennial consistency the Dodgers have shown since the 2024 season. Regarding the All-Star event, we are a tad away from witnessing some of the biggest names in MLB, yet again rumble against each other.
