One can see his electric plays in the ballpark. And being a pitcher as well as a hitter on the field is definitely no joke, which is a testament not only to his raw power but also to his hard work.

So when the Angels’ phenom lost the MVP title to Aaron Judge last year, it definitely did not sit well with him. He has already been hard at work to grab that MVP title this season. Let’s see what the Los Angeles Angels manager had to say about Ohtani!

In a recent interview with MLB Network Radio, Phil Nevin, the Angels’ manager spoke about Ohtani’s excellence and his want to win.

Here’s what he said, “I’m excited to have him, he’s got a lot of accolades and honors coming his way, and rightfully so. I know he’s determined to have an even better year than last year. He was not happy about not winning the MVP I can tell you that. He wants to win first and foremost. He’s excited about the pieces we’ve had and we’ve been able to communicate throughout the winter and he’s really excited to get started with what we have lying ahead of us.”

Looks like Ohtani’s hunger to win has increased tenfold since the last season. He was already an unstoppable force in the ballpark. It will be an incredible sight to see what he brings to the game next season.
