Aaron Judge had a very busy evening. He got off to a solid start with a walk in the first inning, but in his subsequent at-bat, he was hit by a pitch. He remained involved in the game despite some ups and downs in the fifth inning. His highlight? A flyout to center field in the seventh inning that was amazing.

David Ortiz definitely knows when big moments in baseball happen. After the Yankees bounced back to beat the Dodgers 11-4 in Game 4, he took a moment to commend Aaron Judge for his performance. It’s always interesting to see a Red Sox legend recognizing a rival player, especially in such a high-stakes setting as the World Series.

In a pivotal World Series game, the Yankees supporters witnessed three home run explosions. Additionally, Aaron Judge, who had been having trouble this postseason, appeared to get back into his groove. “I’ll tell you what, that last at-bat coming from Judge… look out. He showed the best bat he had shown in the last four games,” David Ortiz said on MLB on Fox. It was a significant moment for Judge, as this was his first RBI since hitting that home run in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Guardians.

Aaron Judge must have been thrilled to get back on the scoreboard. With his astute observation, David Ortiz pointed out that if Judge continues in this manner, it may be an indication of better things to come. Judge may be turning around at a time when they most need him. For Yankees supporters, the at-bat in the eighth inning provided a great lift! Judge stepped up and delivered with a single to left field on a 1-1 count with the club ahead 10-4 and Juan Soto on second following a strong double.

Can Aaron Judge's resurgence be the Yankees' saving grace in this historic World Series battle?

The Yankees pulled off a thrilling victory to avoid a 4-0 sweep. Don’t forget though, history is against them. No team has ever recovered from a 3-0 deficit in the World Series. Freddie Freeman opened the game with a menacing two-run bomb to right field. But then the Mookie Betts fan interference incident happened. A fan tried to rip the ball out of Betts’ glove. Can you imagine? This happened when Betts made a clean grab of a fly ball that Gleyber Torres had hoisted down the right-field foul line.

This led to Torres being ruled out. Now that they made it through the rocky start, Alex Verdugo drove in the only run they managed to produce with men on second and third with only one out. The Dodgers could have been under greater pressure, but it was a lost chance. The Yankees subsequently took a 5-2 lead when Anthony Volpe came through with a clutch two-out grand slam over left center field.

The Dodgers didn’t back down, though. Will Smith responded with a solo homer, and Freeman added another RBI to reduce the deficit to 5-4. It was a classic back-and-forth, and the fans sure loved it, isn’t it?. But the Yankees weren’t done yet; Austin Wells extended their lead with a homer in the sixth, and that’s when the floodgates really opened in the eighth inning. This win not only boosts the Yankees‘ confidence but also gives them some momentum heading into Game 5.
