LA Angels are going through a tough phase in Major League Baseball. And to distract their fans for a while, the Angels released their much-awaited City Connect uniforms on Monday. The strategy to distract the fans might have worked. However, the criticism has increased even more.
Notably, the LA Angels launched their surf-inspired Nike City Connect uniforms recently. But seems like nothing is going right with the Angels at the moment. Because the Angels fans have rejected the new uniforms, they do not feel it gives the vibe of a city-connect uniform.

Currently, the Joe Maddon-led team is going through its worst losing streak in franchise history. After a recent loss against the Boston Red Sox, the Angels have lost 12 consecutive games. With Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout out of the form, the Angels have lost more games than they have won in the ongoing season.
Fans bash the LA Angels for the new City Connect uniforms
Taking to Twitter, MLB shared the new look of the Angels’ City Connect Jerseys. The new City Connect uniforms represent the Southern California beach scene. The sand color of the uniforms is also inspired by the beaches. In the pictures posted by the MLB, one can see Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Noah Syndergaard wearing the new uniform.
However, unlike the Angels players, most of the fans did not like these new City Connect uniforms. They bashed the Angels for making more of a throwback uniform and compared it to the Dodgers’ and Colorado Rockies’ City Connect uniforms.
They’re nice i can’t even lie, better than those horrendous rockies ones they just dropped

For a team that doesn’t really have a city, they aren’t bad. But the Angels can’t rightfully claim LA, and try as hard as they can to distance themselves from Anaheim.

Sorry MLB, Life Long Baseball Fan, but your “City-Connect” jerseys are horrible, from the Dodgers to the Angels to the Rockies – We deserve better

Looks more like a throwback jersey rather than a city connect one.

Those are terrible. They look like pajamas. As bad as the dodgers.

Few of them even said that the new jersey looks like a pajama, and they are awful. One baseball fan even questioned the City Connect aspect.
If Friendly restaurants had a baseball team, this is what they would wear.

Considering their current form, LA Angels will not even make it to the playoffs. However, the good thing is that there are still over 100 games to play this season. And if the Joe Maddon finds their way back to the winning track, only then do they stand a chance to play the World Series.
Maddon would be praying for Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout to get back into their beast mode, as they are the only hopes for the Angels and Maddon. Considering the Angels have already leveled their worst losing streak, it might take only a couple of more defeats, and Maddon might get sacked from his position.
