Aaron Judge was a guest On Base with Mookie Betts. During that episode, the two talked about many things, including the Judge’s 62-home run feat. Betts asked Judge, “I want to know some emotions and feelings like as soon as you hit it, what was going through your head?” To which he had a unique answer. Judge said,” Not really nervous, but just you don’t want to let the fans down there.”
He also shared his response while linking his feat to the emotions of the fans provided to him during the entire season. The Yankees captain added, “They want to see something, they want to be a part of history. They’ve been with me through this whole journey throughout the whole year, throughout my whole career. You want to do it at home, you want to do it in front of those fans.”
This record changed a lot in his life and helped him get a better contract for nine years. The 360 Million star gave a brief about the glorious moment. Judge called it weird as the focus was not on winning anymore.
He said, “We’re still trying to win this game. What are we doing here? It wasn’t even about the game at that point for them. The response of Judge respecting the fans’ emotions shows the beautiful relationship he shares with them.
