An MLB career is filled with countless moments that are remembered by fans. These include winning, losing, and many other memorable milestone moments. Furthermore, some players even have the opportunity to go viral. As a top-level star, CC Sabathia gave fans many exciting moments. Most recently, the New York Yankees legend reacted to an old video from 2018 that has gone viral. 

Sabathia was part of the Yankees for many legendary performances and came up clutch multiple times. But this recently resurfaced video has gone viral, causing Sabathia to react to it. 

A video of New York Yankees’ CC Sabathia being hit for a home run has resurfaced

Most recently, a video of CC Sabathia being hit for a home run has resurfaced and gone viral. The moment is from April 6th, 2018, when Manny Machado smashed a massive home run off Sabathia. But that is not all. Current Los Angeles Angels catcher, Logan O’Hoppe, was in the stands supporting the Yankees and caught the ball. He then threw the ball back onto the field. O’Hoppe is currently playing well for the Angels and has seen some regular game time. Cut4 shared the video on Instagram and Sabathia reacted to it in an Instagram Story.

In the Story, Sabathia said, “@mannymachado this ain’t right cuz” while talking about the home run. He then said, “@logan_ohoppe with the cannon”, highlighting the Angels’ catchers throw back onto the field.

Sabathia protested the home run in a funny way. During his career, Sabathia was loved by fans and teammates alike due to his loyalty and attitude toward the game. He once lost a $500,000 bonus while supporting his teammate. Fans got a glimpse of him in pinstripes once again earlier this year.

How did fans react to the video?

The reactions to the video were mostly fans acknowledging Logan O’Hoppe’s throwing ability and his one-handed catch.

Some fans were left stunned by the one-handed catch and said, “Forget the throw let’s talk about the catch”, “The one-handed catch though 😮”, and “Exciting”.

Another fan noticed that Machado was playing for the Baltimore Orioles and trashed Sabathia, “Those might have been the days of the bum Orioles, despite that they got to CC here 😂😂😂”.

Another fan noticed that O’Hoppe was a Yankees fan at the time, saying, “So he’s a Yankees fan”.
