Terry Francona’s tenure as manager of the Boston Red Sox in 2004, during which he led the team to a World Series victory and broke the infamous ‘Curse of the Bambino,’ marked his emergence as a highly respected and successful leader on the field. Similarly, when he joined the Cleveland Guardians in 2013, he was warmly welcomed by fans and quickly built a strong following in the city. To this day, Francona, affectionately known as “Tito,” remains a beloved figure in Cleveland.
However, Tito, popular for traveling to and from Progressive Field on his bike named ‘Hog,’ found himself without his beloved bike last Friday. As reported by cleveland.com, Tito’s scooter was stolen from his downtown apartment on Friday night. After noticing the absence of the bike, Francona contacted the police.
Without his bike, how would Tito move to and from Progressive Field?

The hog, as Francona called his scooter, was found by the Cleveland police department on Tuesday. In an interview, while talking about his scooter, the Guardians skipper spoke about how he lost his only mode of transportation. And that he would probably have to start locking his scooter.

He said, “It became a little bigger news than it needed to be, but I’m really happy to have it back. That’s my mode of transportation. I’ve never locked it in 11 years in Cleveland, but I might have to start.”
Upon being reunited with his scooter, Tito couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy as he rode away on his motorcycle, leaving the officers with smiles on their faces. Upon arriving on Twitter, fans who hold Tito in high esteem responded with a mixture of humor and enthusiasm. This is what they said:
life in prison for the culprit pls

A soft but strategic offseason for the Cleveland Guardians
Despite being a relatively low-profile team, the Guardians have been quietly filling key positions in preparation for the upcoming postseason. They recently secured the services of both first baseman and power hitter Josh Bell, who was signed to a two-year contract; and catcher Mike Zunino, who came on board with a one-year, low-risk deal. Under the leadership of Tito, the Guardians won their first American League pennant in 2016.
