It has been a tough season for the Oakland Athletics on and off the field. They are last in the AL West standings and have got no support from the fans in this unfavorable period. Moreover, less attendance during their home games has attracted criticism and mocking from the MLB world. Even the rival teams have not shown any sympathy for the Athletics.
Now, Portland Pickles, a collegiate team, has joined the list of unprovoked critics. They shared a social media post mocking the Athletics stadium attendance. But it has not gone well with the fan, who called out the collegiate team for the post.?

Portland Pickles share a sarcastic post on the Oakland Athletics
After the 2022 World Series Winners Houston Astros, Portland Pickles shared a social media post targeting the A’s. It is the second such case when a baseball team has mocked the low attendance in Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The Pickles shared on their Twitter handle,” BREAKING: we have officially surpassed The Oakland A?s in attendance for the 2023 season.”

Notably, they are a collegiate baseball team based in Portland, Oregon. They venture their trade in the South Division of the West Coast League. The Pickles play their home games at The Walkers Stadium, Portland. Founded in 2015, they have never been the league champions though, have won their division once! The post was in poor taste, and fans did not like this post from a team that plays in a lower league.
MLB fans call out Pickles for their tweet targeted toward the A’s!
Fans have not received the tweet well and have shared their disagreement with it. Many fans have questioned the right by which a minor league team is mocking a team with an MLB title-winning history. Many called the tweet in poor taste and below the level of a sane social media team. Here are a few of the reactions to the tweet:

Meanwhile, the A’s have done well in their latest series. They beat the Atlanta Braves to break the series losing run. The Athletics have performed as a complete team to make it happen. It will be interesting to see how well they perform against the Miami Marlins. Another series win can act as a catalyst for bringing fans back to the stadium. Will it happen or not? Only time will tell!
