The controversy surrounding Disney has taken the United States by storm with celebrities and even athletes sharing their opinion. The debate has become a widespread political issue, involving people from all walks of life. Most recently, a former World Series champion with the New York Mets shared his take on the issue. 

This took place in response to a statement made by Hillary Clinton in support of Disney. The possible presidential candidate shared her possible support for Disney leading to a reply from a former World Series Champion. 

1986 World Series Champion Lenny Dykstra shares his take on the Disney controversy

Disney and the Republican Party have been quarreling ever since the introduction of the Parental Rights in Education Act, otherwise known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by critics. Disney criticized the Act starting a back-and-forth battle of words with Governor Ron DeSantis. Most recently, former MLB World Series Champion, Lenny Dykstra shared his opinion on the issue in response to a tweet by Hillary Clinton. Clinton hinted that she is siding with Disney and Dykstra responded by criticizing the multi-billion dollar company.

In a Tweet, Dykstra said, “Why the f**k should a Woke groomer corporation get so much corporate welfare anyhow?”

Dykstra is outspoken about his thoughts and regularly shares his opinions on social media. He has confronted Greta Thunberg on multiple occasions, and some other big names as well. While sharing his opinion on the Disney issue, he believes it is a distraction from the bigger issues at hand.

In another tweet Lenny Dykstra criticized the government for distracting people from real-world issues. In the tweet, he said, “Distraction. Noise. The powers that be want us not focused on the important things like the current state of the war in Ukraine, dedollarization worldwide, the effects of the “vaccine,” etc.”
